Welcome To The 21st Century April…

Well, I did it. I finally got a smart phone…and yes, it’s pretty awesome! I have never had one before and I’ve been sporting tiny used cell phones for the last few years to get by. I never really texted because it was physically painful for me to try and text on my old cell phone! I mean I could call 10 people in the amount of time it took me to type in 2 words of text…so I avoided it and until recently, I thought I was surviving just fine without it!

Last month my father n law was asking me something and then told me if I needed anything to just TEXT him! My jaw sort of dropped and I was like, that’s it! All my friends text, my husband texts, my father n law texts and I feel seriously left behind. Then my 2 1/2 year old cut the charge cord I had for my old cell and the phone really was pretty crummy anyway, so last week I headed in to town and got myself a new phone!

I’m pretty sure my kids know how to work this phone better than I do, but I’m learning. I had some free time last week while I was at the lodge with my husband, and I spent the majority of it just trying to figure out what all my phone was capable of and of course taking pictures with it! One of the first apps I downloaded was “Instagram” and it’s so cool!

I love that I can capture all those everyday moments so quickly now. I mean I have always taken a lot of pictures, but at least now I don’t have to go unpack the camera from it’s heavy duty case each time I want to start snapping!

I also love that I can snap pictures of projects and stuff that inspires me and upload it to the web in a matter of seconds!

I spent some time creating this past weekend, and I am almost done with the canvas apron that I started so hopefully I can post pics of it this week!

This is a shot of myself that I took last Thursday evening while I was waiting on Scott. The lodge at Mt. Magazine had an amazing view and we had a balcony in our room – which I spent a lot of time on!

I am going to be working on ATC retreat stuff all this week and hope to show some sneak peaks soon.

Peace, Love, & Happy Creating,
April

April, that’s so funny – I just got that exact same iPhone last week. My first one as well. Finally an actual keyboard to text with. Search the apps for LED Flashlight. It is so cool. It actually puts an app on your phone that launches a flashlight beam when you open it. I am still learning new things to do with the phone – as you discover free apps that are way cool, please post them on your blog!

Welcome to the world of being attached to your phone… You will realize there is so much stuff that you can do on it that you will never put it down!!! I sometimes just have to say put the phone away…and get out the real camera!!!
