Ever want to create your own fantasy spot for a little bit of escape? Well this week, our Stampendous designers paired our stamped images up with some terrific products from Simi Creative , which are designed for Architectural Models, Model Railroaders, and even school kids just dying to build a scale model of their local courthouse for their 5th period Social Studies Class.
Although these products might not seem like your typical scrapbooking or card making supplies, if you use your imaginations – you could make something unbelievably cool! And you could do it with Stampendous Rubber Stamps and Essentials! For my Wee Scapes project, I decided to really push it to the edge and make a scrapbook page with the supplies that I was sent.
They sent me several plastic texture tile tags to play with…of course I thought they were cool right off but I wasn’t really sure what I should do with them. Then I thought they might make neat banner flags! I’m going to use the grass tags along with a big grass mat that I got, on another layout coming soon.
I decided to dress them up a bit and color them with my Spectrum Noir Markers!
I embossed the background sheet of cardstock with Aged Gold Embossing Enamel, and then I dropped in some Sage and Marine Blue Color Fragments while I was heating up and melting down the embossing enamel.
* Here are some close up shots of the details:
* I stamped the edge of the cardstock and a little tag the I punched banner pieces out of with the Cling Clock Works Stamp from Stampendous!
* Check out designer Lea Kimmel’s blog today to for another special project, and tomorrow a bunch of the Stampendous gals will be posting new projects so you will want to check the Stampendous blog to see who all is playing along!
Be sure to comment on the Designer’s Blogs for a chance to win some of your own great little pieces of scenery and Stampendous stamps. If you don’t have model builders in your life, head to the Store Locator on the Simi Creative website for where to buy Wee Scapes in your area!
