* Pure Inspiration!

april_woodboard1sm

Having a baby recently has given me some extra time to check out creative tutorials, videos, blogs, etc… My son Castor really likes to be held and he loves when I bounce him on the exercise ball (which by the way worked great for my other two kids when they were babies too! Just buy one of those $10 exercise balls and you can pacify the baby and exercise at the same time!)

Anyway, because I have been able to watch so many new videos and such I thought I would start posting links to all my favorites and help share the inspiration! I will put dates by them so you can see when I’ve added new ones and I encourage you to check them out!

* This seems like a really cool collage technique and instead of spray painting it at the end, I would recommend coloring it with alcohol ink!

* Okay in my opinion this just rocks! Of course I love crayons, but this seems so easy and wonderfully creative – I can’t wait to try it!!

* Um…so silly of me…why hadn’t I already thought of doing this – embossing transparencies???

* Tim Holtz showing some cool techniques with Distress Inks!

* So I should have watched this before I opened up my new Masks, but now I know and i’m ready to use my new Tim Holtz Masks!

* This is pretty cool, Cosmo Cricket posted a video tutorial on how to make a paper wedding bouquet! She teaches you how to make several different flowers and I am anxious to make some for scrapbook pages!

* Two Peas video of Jennifer Mcguire showing some very cool alcohol ink techniques and the cards she creates are just beautiful!

* This is a new Tattered Angels video showing you different background techniques using glimmer mists, their new stamps, etc. What I really like is the technique towards the end where she shows you how to create a unique shimmery “woodgrain” like background!

(NOTE: I went a step further and I found it helps if you also use a Popsicle stick to gently clean out the inside of the lid and get the old gunk out)
