This weekend we celebrate National Scrapbooking Day and I have lots of goodness to share with you!
* I used STAEDTLER Pastel Chalks and a variety of glimmer mists and color washes to color the Prima canvas inserts for this project. Add in some stickers and a corrugated bird from Little Yellow Bicycle, some paper tape from 7gypsies, Snow Cap Alcohol ink, Stickles, & Dimensional Pearls from Ranger, some awesome ribbon from May Arts, and a sweet photo of my mother and I – and now I have a great little Mother’s Day gift to give to my mom so she can hang it on her wall in her studio!
* Little Technique Tip: I wanted to dress up the dark brown corrugated bird, so I covered it with Snow White Alcohol ink and then sprayed it with a light pink glimmer mist!
* Speaking of Pink, I have a new technique video up on the Hard Core Crafter page!!
If you aren’t a Hard Core Crafter yet, you should be!!! Check out our EXCLUSIVE videos here AND by signing up now, you are automatically entered to win awesome prizes!!!
* Last weekend I attended a scrapbook retreat and was able to create my heart out! While I was there, I scrapped this page for a friend of mine. This is her adorable grandson and as soon as I saw the picture I knew what I wanted to do with it. For the base I used one of my favs – A sheet of dark colored Kraft cardstock from Core’dinations Graphic 45 Signature Collection. Then I added Tim Holtz Tissue tapes, and some new washi tape I just got from Bella Blvd. The awesome red twill ribbon is from May Arts and I would love to get my hands on every single color of this particular ribbon because I love it so much. I also added a milk cap embellishment that my friend Angie supplied me with. She said she ordered a bunch of them one day from ebay – I will have to find her source because I love these as well.
* Here’s a sneak peek of a new project I created for Stampendous. All month long, Stampendous will be posting creative projects to help provide you with ideas on how to incorporate stamping into your scrapbooks!
They also have a new challenge for the month of May and it’s all about creating gifts. Visit the Stampendous blog to find out the details and provide yourself with some stamping eye candy!
* I used STAEDTLER’S Pastel Chalks, Pigment Liner Pens, and letter stencil to create this chalk art project!
