Friday Fun, Miscellaneous & Merriment!
October 2nd, 2009 by April

I took the kids to the Mid America Science Museum last weekend and they had a toilet on display that they had turned into a water fountain. After much convincing and reading them the sign saying it was built to be a fountain several times…I finally got the kids to try it out so I could take pictures. Of course it did not occur to me that Memphis would then insist on taking a picture of me drinking from the fountain!

I was trying to take a picture of Charlie’s hand and discovered I had also gotten Castor in there as well so I thought it was a pretty cool picture!

**Song of the day!!
Caught my husband listening to this the other day on Pandora and I knew right away I had to have it!
(note: it’s just music – no pics, but you can just hit play and then open up a new browser window so you can continue listening to the song while checking out other things on the web!…at least that’s what I do when I find a cool song on another blog! )
** Interesting Internet Finds:
1. Well I’m pretty sure you won’t be able to read whatever language the site is in, however the pictures in this case are worth a thousand words and show you how to make a really cool leaf bouquet!!
2. Oh this is a cool one – A ton of ideas for how to recycle your old t-shirts!! (Thank goodness I finally know what to do with that Boyz II Men concert t-shirt! lol)
3. Spell out your name or any desired word using real-life images!
4. Another cool site to download Free Textures!
** Quick Background Idea for a layout!

To create the background for this page I simply mixed some turquoise acrylic paint with a little water and then poured it into my little mini mister, added some perfect pearls in metallic pearl and then sprayed it onto white cardstock. Unfortunately you can not tell from this picture, but the background is super sparkly!!
Happy Friday!!

I had to check the site with the leaf bouquet (haven’t checked the others yet); the language written looks like Russian. I went to Yahoo Babel Fish & had the whole page translated. Of course other languages will have their own grammar rules, slang & nuances, so it’s not an exact translation, but you can catch the drift. Really cool idea – thanks for sharing!
