Well…the last few days have been very very very hectic as I am preparing to leave for Arizona early tomorrow morning. I am going to attend Creative Escape for the second time and I am I can’t wait to get there! I will be dragging LeAnne along with me and we will both be greeted by several other friends when we get there. I should be back next Tuesday and then I’ll turn right back around and leave on Thursday…yes..Thursday September 11th of all days - to go to Minnesota to teach classes for Flair Designs at the upcoming Archivers Scrapfest! I am totally ecstatic about that as well….I have never been to the Mall of America but it looks entirely to big and tempting!

But before I go, my good friend Donna has seen fit to Tag me yet again…so I must oblige and share 7 things about myself:

1. I love to eat dark chocolate and popcorn at the same time! I’m serious - you should so try this!

2. My favorite perfume is actually a rub on oil from Kumba called, “Persian Garden”. How did I come to find this scent?? Well actually, LeAnne and I went to Austin a couple years back and the waitress at PF Changs smelled sooo good so I asked her what she was wearing and it was Persian Garden. So we went to Whole Foods Market the very next day to find it!

3. I seriously want to attend “Ranger” University

4. I must always have my toenails painted!

5. My grandfather is an episcopalian priest and for several years I was an acolyte at every Sunday morning service!

6. I have always wanted a pair of over the knee boots! ….you know like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman? I have no idea where I would wear them…but I want them!

7. I saw M.C. Hammer in Concert…lol….Okay seriously I was totally only there to see Boyz II Men, but it was definitely and interesting concert…and no…I never had a pair of the MC Hammer Pants!

Happy Creating!

Well….this last week was filled with lots of boxes and surprises!

Last Tuesday the fed ex guy delivered a huge box to my door and I had no idea where it was from so I quickly read the label and it said Vera Bradley. Now…I honestly only recently found out about Vera Bradley bags and that they are very popular. I actually have some friends that started their own club for people who own these bags and even if you didn’t want one before, you certainly will after talking with them! lol

So anyway, back to the box….

So I’m still like…okay why the heck am I receiving a box from Vera Bradley and then I open it up to find this beautiful Green box! I am so darn excited by this point…keep in mind I still have no clue who sent this to me…I just proceed to stare at the box and then I grab my camera and call my mother! After going on and on about the box, she finally says, “Well why don’t you open it?????”

So I did! And in the lovely green box was a gorgeous “Java Blue” Tote from Vera Bradley!!!! I had recently been talking to a good friend of mine about the bags and she said that her and her daughters just loved them and always put them on their Christmas lists. She said, “They just make me Happy”!
Well all I can say is to her is…It just made me Happy too and Thank You Thank You Thank You!! I love and adore you and heck…I would have been happy with just the Green Box!

BOX #2

As you can see, Box #2 does not even need an intro…this beauty can stand on it’s own! Oh My gosh I freakin love Godiva Chocolates and this is only the 2nd box I have ever been given in my life. This came as a total surprise too and Jen…I just have to say that YOU ROCK! Well yes I have said that many times before actually…because for those of you who don’t know…my good friend Jennifer is actually my scrapbook idol! I totally look for her for inspiration. I really don’t know what I did to deserve something as wonderful as a box of Godiva Chocolates, but I just want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! And just know that this little gold beauty is currently sitting right next to my scrap desk…for inspiration of course!

So all that’s left is BOX #3

* First of all, this tea is totally awesome! Or as my friend LeAnne would say, ” It’s Phenomenal!”
I found this on a recent trip to Whole Foods Market and I used it to make iced tea while I was in Texas. I am having an extremely hard time finding this anywhere else though…Target carries the same brand, but I can not find it in this flavor. anyway, if you like green tea and mint, then you will love this!

* Second, I am showing this box because it actually represents 4 Secrets about the upcoming 2009 MemoryVilla Retreat! Of course I can’t tell you what they are…but I would love to hear your guesses!

Have a wonderful day and Happy Scrapping!
April

I took this picture of Charlie this morning while she was eating breakfast. We had her birthday party this weekend and we gave her a Portable Princess CD Player, and the Jonas Brothers CD (per her request)! Since she got it, she has wanted to listen to them non-stop and just proceeds to dance around the house. Okay, so yesterday I decided to play the Jonas Brothers CD while cleaning and I have to say…I like it! Apparently my little girl already knows how to ROCK!

PageSage recently came out with a fantastic new DVD called Art Unscripted with Carol Duvall an Artist Retreat. Luckily I got the chance to review it for ScrapFriends and it pretty much Rocked!

One of the classes on the DVD was a Metal Embossing class taught by Magdalena Muldoon and it was fabulous! I still have some practicing to do, but I had a ton of fun trying my hand at metal embossing and I created the wings behind Charlie using sheet metal and some great embossing tools from MercArt!

Sequin flowers (Queen & Co.)

This is called a Blizzard Book and the entire thing is created by simply folding paper! That’s right…no stitching, glue, tape, staples, nothing…..just creative folding!
