A couple of months ago, I took Castor to my aunt’s house and before I left I caught this special moment between Castor and my uncle on my iPhone. Castor adores Larry and I just love the look on his face!

* Normally I make my background before I add patterned papers, embellishments, etc…
However on this project, I didn’t think about adding the chevron pattern until after I had completed about 60% of the page. I covered up the picture and everything I didn’t want to get spray on, and then laid a chevron template on top of my page and misted it with color wash. I also popped off the lid of the color wash and squeezed it directly over my page to add the bigger drops of color.
* I made the little clay heart using STAEDTLER’s Fimo Effects Clay and one of their little clay heart cutters.
Paper Issues is currently having a “Show Me Your Chevron” Challenge, so I thought I would throw my hat in the ring and link up my layout! Today is the last day to enter, but they are giving away some cute little kits to the winners and there are tons of inspiring “Chevron” themed layouts and projects linked up already so head over there for some Saturday inspiration!
